Frederick Barbarossa to lead Germany in Civilization VI

Another playable faction in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI has been presented in a new commentary video. This time it's Germany under the leadership of Frederick Barbarossa, a legendary king and emperor.

One of the playable factions that are going to make it into Sid Meier’s Civilization VI will be Germany under the leadership of Frederick Barbarossa. This charismatic King of Germany and Holy Roman Emperor from the 12th century earned a legendary status in German folklore, which states that the king will return once more to bring about a new golden age for his nation. The new Civilization VI commentary video gives a brief overview of the faction and some of its unique features, such as leader bonuses, hansa districts, and U-boots.

Apart from Germany, Civilization VI will feature several other playable factions. Those already revealed are the Americans (Theodore Roosevelt), English (Queen Victoria), Egyptians (Cleopatra), Japanese (Hojo Tokimune), Chinese (Qin Shi Huang), Aztecs (Montezuma), French (Catherine de' Medici), and Brazilians (Pedro II). The next installment in one of the most popular strategy game IPs in history will introduce improved city building, letting players to expand their cities by new districts. The game is due out on October 21, 2016 for PC.
