Forza Motorsport in Beta; Jez Corden on Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase
Jez Corden from Windows Central says that the new Forza Motorsport is currently in beta and we will most likely see it at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. The journalist also revealed what other Microsoft announcements we can expect in June.
In his yesterday's show youtuber Rand al Thor 19 and Jez Corden - renowned editor of Windows Central - discussed, what to expect in the upcoming Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Not counting Starfield - which will be the centerpiece of the show - the event should also include another long-awaited Microsoft exclusive.
Forza Motorsport in beta
Corden is convinced that the show will almost certainly feature Forza Motorsport (which is a reboot of the series), announced in 2020. What's more, the journalist's sources report that the game is currently undergoing beta testing, to which some influencers allegedly have access.
According to Corden, the title will debut next year. It is officially being developed for PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The game is expected to be available at launch in the Game Pass subscription.
Other speculations
The duo claims that the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase will feature new footage from Diablo IV. According to them, however, we won't see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which should appear at Sony's presentation at another time.
In addition to this Corden and Rand do not exclude the announcement of a new game from Coalition (creators of the Gears series), gameplay from Redfall and a fresh batch of details about As Dusk Falls. Perhaps we'll also see a presentation of a yet undisclosed title developed by Compulsion Games (the team responsible for We Happy Few).
Minecraft spin-offs and a new Halo?
The editor of Windows Central also mentions that he has heard rumors of several unannounced spin-offs of Minecraft and a new project from 343 Industries, set in the Halouniverse, yet unrelated to Halo Infinite.
- He's also heard about an alleged new game set in the world of Shadowrun and about a certain Microsoft studio that is developing an unspecified strategy game codenamed Project Indus.
- It is possible that some of these alleged projects may be presented during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase.
A physical meeting?
According to Corden, in addition to the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase broadcast, there may also be a related meeting, which however, is unlikely to resemble an event like E3 and will most likely be limited to press representatives and influencers.
