Forza Horizon 5 Smashes Competition on Steam
Forza Horizon 5 doesn't release until tomorrow, and yet the game was Steam's biggest bestseller of the last week. In addition, the successful presentation of Elden Ring encouraged many gamers to preorder.

As every Monday, we got the list of the biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the previous week on Steam. Forza Horizon 5 unrivalled this week. Different editions of this racing game took two places in the top ten of the list, including the highest one.
Forza Horizon 5 will debut only tomorrow, so these results were earned by preorders. This is helped by the fact that preordering the Premium edition gives you early access to the game. Yesterday we reported that over 800,000 players on PC and consoles have already started playing thanks to this feature.
The leader of the previous list, Age of Empires IV, continues to sell exceptionally well. Various editions of this RTS took the second and sixth place on the bestseller list.
It is worth noting the excellent pre-order results of Elden Ring. We'll wait over three more months for the release of this game, but last Thursday a virtual presentation was organized, during which several minutes of gameplay recording were shown. The gameplay footage must have been very appealing to Steam users, since it encouraged so many of them to preorder.
The rest of the top 10 consists mainly of hits which have been present in the list for several weeks, such as New World, Football Manager 2022 or Back 4 Blood. Onle the tenth spot features a novelty in the form of Platinum Founder's Pack DLC for Lost Ark. Tripod Studio's MMORPG will debut on Steam in March next year, but this expensive expansion is selling so well right now because it provides access to the recently launched closed beta.
