Forza Horizon 5 has Almost a Million Players in Early Access
More than 800,000 gamers paid extra for the premium edition of Forza Horizon 5 and have been playing the latest racing game from Playground Games since Friday.
Forza Horizon 5 is already being played by 800,000 people (according to in-game rankings), despite the fact that the release will take place next week. It is possible because the players who preordered the Premium Edition started playing two days ago, on November 5
- Early access to the game (November 5);
- Two major DLC packs, each offering a new location and additional cars and gameplay elements;
- A car pass with 42 additional vehicles, eight of which will be be added at launch and the rest will be released on a weekly basis;
- A welcome pack with 5 pre-tuned cars, a player's house, and a one-time voucher for any vehicle in the dealership;
- A VIP Pass with numerous perks and bonuses.
This is an impressive achievement, especially since this edition is not cheap. You have to pay $99.99 for the Premium edition. The game will be available on Game Pass from release day, but traditionally subscribers to this service will be only able to play the basic version, without DLCs. If the players want to unlock early access and additional content they have to buy the so-called Forza Horizon 5 Premium Pack for $49.99. Those who first buy the basic version FH5 will be able to upgrade it to Premium for a fee.
In reality, sales of this edition are even higher. The 800,000 figure applies only to players who are recorded in the game's virtual leaderboards, and there are undoubtedly also those who bought the Premium Edition and have not yet begun playing.
Forza Horizon 5 was developed for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The release is scheduled for November 9, this year.
The PC version is sold both in Microsoft Store and on Steam.
Most of the PC players will prefer to purchase on Steam. It's worth mentioning, that when buying from Microsoft Store we can use the so-called Xbox Play Anywhere, thanks to which we have to buy the game only once to enjoy it both on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The Steam edition does not offer such attractions.
|Finally, we can add that many reviews have already appeared online and they show that this is one of the best games of the year. On Metacritic Forza Horizon 5 has an average rating of 91%, both on PC and Xbox Series X/S. The title was also appreciated by our editor, who gave it a score of 9.3/10.
