Former Rocksteady Bosses Leave to Make New Studio With Industry Vets and Emerging Talent
After leaving Rocksteady, Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker are joining forces again. The creators of the Arkham series, among others, headed the Hundred Star Games studio.
Interesting information about the founders of Rocksteady, Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker, surfaced online just over two weeks before the release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The developers, who parted ways with the British company at the end of 2022 to - as they stated back then - "start a new adventure together in games," have become the leaders of the new studio Hundred Star Games.
The company's existence has been known for a while (the studio even has its own page), but the identities of its directors were only recently uncovered through the public business information database Endole (via Polygon).
However, from the information posted on Great Place Work, we learn that 25 people currently work at Hundred Star Games. The studio is described as a "start-up that develops video games." The company aims to establish a team of around 100 people, which will include both industry veterans and emerging talents. Everyone should be completely committed to "crafting cutting-edge gaming experiences that inspire and captivate players worldwide."
With innovation at our core, we're dedicated to pushing boundaries, embracing diversity, and fostering a vibrant gaming community. Our empowering company culture is unique to the industry which encourages leadership at all levels, accountability, team support, vulnerability, and connection - we read further.
Polygon reporters also noticed that Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker have recruited several programmers from Rocksteady to join Hundred Star Games in recent months. However, Hundred Star Games hasn't yet announced any of its upcoming projects.
Finally, returning to Rocksteady's latest game, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, will hit the market on February 2nd. The game will be available on PC, PS5, and XSX/S consoles.
