Probably many of you would be happy to hear that the iconic shooter series Red Faction is coming back. And although it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon, interesting materials have hit the net, which give a foretaste of what we could've been dealing with if Plaion, which currently owns the rights to the license, decides to resurrect the popular brand.

We have in mind concept arts, most likely from an unrealized Red Faction project. They have been shared on ArtStation by one of the employees of Deep Silver (which is part of Plaion), Jongwon Park.

One of the artworks features the well-known logo with a hammer. In addition, they depict an urban agglomeration, a clash between an armored vehicle and a mech and a mysterious figure with a hammer.

Unfortunately, Jongwon Park did not reveal which project these artworks came from. Perhaps from Red Faction Evolution, about which there were many rumors several years ago.

In 2019, the list of games that support Nvidia's screenshot technology included a mention about the game. It was speculated at the time that Evolution might be unveiled at E3 that same year, but as we have seen in time, nothing of the sort happened.

Therefore, there is nothing left for us to do but continue to wait for the return of Red Faction. Until then, we must make do with the previous installments of the series, headed by Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered, the refreshed version of the third game.
