Fallout TV Production Begins This Year; First Episode Directed by Jonathan Nolan
Work on the first episode of the Fallout TV series is set to begin this year. We got to know the showrunners of the production.
- Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner will be involved in the Fallout TV series as showrunners;
- The first episode will be directed by Jonathan Nolan and work is expected to begin this year.
Shooting is set to begin this year on the first episode of a TV series based on the video game series Fallout, produced by Amazon. Thanks to Deadline we also learned that directors from Kilter Films (Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy) will be assisted by two showrunners: Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner.
This duo is a good sign for the production, mainly due to the fact that both Robertson-Dworet and Wagner have already produced some well received productions. These include the Golden Globe-nominated Silicon Valley, Portlandia, Captain Marvel, and 2018's Tomb Raider.
In addition, Amazon's production is overseen by Todd Howard, executive producer of Fallout at Bethesda Game Studios, and James Altman, publishing director from Bethesda Softworks. It's worth noting that Howard is very positive about making of the series as we found out during the Ask Me Anything session on the occasion of Skyrim's 10th anniversary.
Coming back to Fallout, the only thing we can expect is that it will be set in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a nuclear conflict. It is also hard to find any information on the cast.
