Final Version of Elden Ring on Gameplay; PC System Requirements Revealed

A lot of new gameplays from Elden Ring have appeared online. They come from the final version of the game, which will debut on PC and consoles in two weeks. It turns out that the game won't be as easy as we thought. We also got to know the minimum system requirements for Elden Ring on PC.

Oh, Elden Ring. Only two weeks separate us from the release of the new game by fromSoftware. To heat up the atmosphere a bit, publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment organized in recent days a short, limited to only six hours for each participant, testing of the final PC version of the game. Today, gameplays from them have hit the web. They reveal previously undisclosed locations and enemies. Two examples can be found below.

The author of the second video - YouTube user VaatiVidya, who certainly doesn't need to be introduced to fans of soulslike games - was one of the people who took part in the online mode tests conducted some time ago. When playing the full version of Elden Ring he noticed a few interesting changes compared to the previous build. The most important of them are presented on the list below.

Elden Ring - changes compared to online testing

  • The difficulty of the game has been increased, mainly due to the fact that now testers started the adventure with default starter characters (the ones we can all create), without any special features like easily accessible spells or weapons.
  • Gargoyle statues have been added - they are located in front of magical barriers, which we can cross by using Stone's Ward Key. We can choose one of these keys as a starting item, but others will have to be found. The effort should pay off, because these places are supposed to hide unique weapons and other gear.
  • You can attach a cape to your armor - this service will cost a small number of runes (a currency analogous to souls), and the decorations themselves will be customizable.
  • Talismans will replace rings - in the game, which has a ring in the title, we will lack those ornaments, which are fundamental additions to the Dark Souls series. Their role will be taken over by talismans. What's more, some of them will be closely related to the specific weapons and increase their damage. Rings, on the other hand, are to have primarily a plot significance.
  • Traders' offer has changed - in the tests of the network mode they had a larger number of powerful items. In the final game there will be much less of them, and what's more - the notes containing hints or information about interesting, secret, places (such as those concerning the pagoda or the sword Sabimaru, which we could buy from knowledge trader Fujiokao), known from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, will return.
  • VaatiVidya also noticed that along with the change of weather, his character gained a buff. It is possible that there will be several types of them.
  • Youtuber is also quite convinced about the role that will be played by the "walking islands", which we could see on the trailers and gameplays released by the publisher. In his opinion, they will be associated with the Remembrance mechanics, used to duplicate the "souls" of defeated bosses. These items were used in Dark Souls to forge powerful weapons.
