FIFA 22 Won't Force Players to Watch Their Opponent's Celebrations
Players will no longer have to watch their opponent celebrate scoring a goal in online matches in FIFA 22. There will be an option to set the camera on your players in the options.
Celebrations after goals are an integral part of soccer, and thus of FIFA games. With the advent of FIFA Ultimate Team, celebrations have also become a way to annoy the other player, who after a goal has been scored has had to watch his opponent savour the moment, often using special mocking reactions such as "Shush", which was removed from the series in FIFA 21. FIFA 22 takes it one step further - from now on, watching your opponents celebrate will be completely optional.
FIFA 22 will give players the option to point the camera at their own players after a lost goal. As FUT's lead producer Mike Barnucz admits (via Eurogamer):
"Conceding a goal is always heartbreaking, especially in a closely fought match. While celebrations are an important part of real world football, we know watching them can be a frustrating experience for some players."
"Celebration Camera"can now be turned off in the settings. Remember that it will be enabled by default, but it will be possible to deactivate it in all game modes, not just Ultimate Team.
The new part of FIFA will be released on October 1, this year on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch (as the Legacy Edition).
