FIFA 22 Available Today in EA Play; Early Access Features in Detail
The release of FIFA 22 is just around the corner. However, if you want to jump into the game earlier, you'll do so with an EA Play subscription and the FUT Web App.
FIFA 22 will launch on October 1, this year. If you choose to purchase the Ultimate edition, you'll be able to jump into the game on September 27. However, the most impatient among you can play the FIFA 22 today.
Every year EA Play subscribers have the opportunity to check out the final version of the new FIFA about a week before the official release. This year is no different. The announcement available on EA Sports official website reveals that the next installment of the football game series will be made available to chosen users today, on September 22. From less official sources we know that EA Play subscribers will jump into the game at 10 AM PT.
To test FIFA 22 you need to subscribe to EA Play on PC, PlayStation or Xbox consoles (no fun for Switch owners this time). You will then receive access to a 10-hour trial version. During this time you can check out all modes (including FUT and career) with no content restrictions. After 10 hours the game will be locked and you will be able to play it again on the day of release of the full version. Owners of the more expensive variant of the service, EA Play Pro (available only on PC for the time being) will get the opportunity to play without any time limits.
Remember that you can still place pre-orders, which guarantee access to bonuses in Ultimate Team (a first-team player of the week and two players on loan) and manager career (world-class young talent).
FIFA 22 Web App
The accompanying FUT Web App is a tool that enables you to manage your team in Ultimate Team mode without having to launch the game on your console or PC. All you have to do is open a web browser and log into the Web App or download the FUT Companion App from the store. From there, you can buy and sell players, adjust tactics, formations and more. Web App for FIFa 22 is set to debut today. For now, only the browser version of the app will be available, and the FUT Companion App will hit the App Store and Google Play tomorrow (on September 23).
During the first days of playing, the app will be useful for those who do not want to waste precious hours with FIFA 22 as part of early access.
FIFA 22 will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PCs and Google Stadia. On Nintendo Switch on the same day, you will receive a trimmed version called FIFA 22: Legacy Edition.
