Final Fantasy XIV is a long-lived MMORPG – It was released in 2013 on PC and PlayStation 3. Over the following years, the game also made its way to more platforms – including PS5 and XSX/S. However, that’s not all, in the near future this title will also hit mobile platforms.

FF14 Mobile (Android, iOS) Release Explained

Just a few hours ago FF14 Mobile was announced. Square Enix has partnered with Lightspeed Studios to create this port. However, you must keep in mind that this isn’t a regular port, but a separate game based on the original Final Fantasy 14. In this way, old and new players will be able to enjoy the game.

Developers claim that the version on Android and iOS will offer similar experience. So, they want to recreate story-driven content, combat, crafting system and mini-games known from FF14. Of course, everything will be adapted for touch screens. You will also meet well-known characters like Thancred, Tataru, Raubahn, and Sultana Nanamo Ul Namo.

The release date of Final Fantasy 14 Mobile is still unknown. Developers announced that initially, there will be a demo available as a playtest in China. Shortly after, MMORGP will be released globally. However, it is unclear when this will happen – Square Enix have not given specific dates yet. If you are interested, you can pre-register on the official website to receive news about tests and updates for the game.
