Warmly Received City Builder Farthest Frontier With Big Update

Crate Entertainment has released the first major update for Farthest Frontier, which adds a sizable number of upgrades and new buildings.

Crate Entertainment, creators of the successful action RPG Grim Dawn, continue to develop their second production - a city-builder strategy game Farthest Frontier currently available in Steam's Early Access. The work has resulted in the latest update, which fans can download now at no extra charge.

Farthest Frontier 0.8 - content

The patch, which updates the game to version 0.8 is the first major set of new features released by the developers since the Early Access bagan. Here's a list of the most important changes and new features.

  • Devs introduced new decorative and entertainment buildings, including festival poles, decorative trees, squares with benches or fences.
  • The game received a number of small tutorials, assigned to individual interface options.
  • Artificial intelligence has been significantly improved. From now on, people will be more efficient and intelligent in performing their tasks.
  • The ability to set production limits in the resource and building windows was added.
  • Buildings received a detailed attractiveness bar, which shows the progress of successive levels of houses.
  • A number of technical bugs have been fixed, such as optimization of the game's performance in winter, removing a common problem of residents stopping mid-action, reducing the risk of game crashes, and removing non-functional keyboard shortcuts.

Farthest Frontier - highlights

Farthest Frontier on PC (Steam) debuted in early access on August 9, this year. The title is a strategy RTS, in which the action takes place in a world reminiscent of the European Middle Ages. The game boasts remarkable gameplay, offering, among other things, seasons of the year, realistically presented fauna, colorful and detailed graphics, an extensive system of diseases and epidemics, as well as a ware price difference depending on the region. The ned of game's Early Access period is still covered by secrecy.
