Ubisoft Revives Far Cry 6? New DLC and GOTY Edition

According to an industry insider, Ubisoft is preparing a Game of the Year edition for Far Cry 6. It is expected to include a brand new DLC about the inhabitants of the island of Yara.

Next Friday, i.e. on October 7, will mark exactly one year since the release of Far Cry 6. Although the latest installment of the iconic series has received average reviews, it seems that Ubisoft does not intend to write it off. Indeed, the French publisher plans to celebrate the game's first birthday in a special way and encourage users to revisit Yara.

As reporteded by VGC, when scouring the depths of the Internet, Aggiornamenti Lumia (known for finding interesting information in the Xbox console database), came across a promotional graphic that suggests Far Cry 6 will receive a GOTY version, which will include, among other things, a new DLC, called Lost Between Worlds.

At the time of writing this post, Ubisoft has not made any official announcement in response to the above reports. Perhaps this will change in the coming days and the French developer will announce its plans for Far Cry 6. Fans of the game must therefore arm themselves with patience and look out for announcements from the developers.

Finally, let us remind you that since its release in October 2021 Far Cry 6 has received, among other updates, new special operations, a crossover featuring Danny Trejo, and even missions inspired by Rambo and Stranger Things.

Ubisoft also released three short DLCs, in which we fight villains from previous installments of the series - Joseph, Pagan and Vaas.

Far Cry 6 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
