New DLC Will Send Far Cry 6 Away From Reality; Trailer Available
Ubisoft has just unveiled a major new expansion for Far Cry 6 - Lost Between Worlds. We'll be fighting Shardfaces as early as next week. What's more a demo version was released today.
On the official channel on Twitch Ubisoft held a stream revealing details about the upcoming DLC for Far Cry 6. The expansion Lost Between Worlds will debut on December 6 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Ubisoft+.
The first trailer for the expansion has been unveiled, revealing its plot and gameplay footage. Check out this unreal trailer below.
Portals and crystals in the DLC
In the new expansion, we will once again play the role of Dani Rojas, who, through contact with an extraterrestrial civilization, will end up in an unknown place, where s/he is expected to spend the next five million years. However, we can change that, by collecting five crystal shards, thanks to which we will manage to repair the ship of an AI called Fai. As we traverse the rifts scattered across Yara, we will face many threats, including the Shardfaces - crystal people - who guard them, as well as crystallized animals. This is what a fragment from the DLC's description reads:
"Choose your own path among the rifts and storm a shattered fortress, gliding through the sky. Enter the underwater Esperanza, full of deadly traps, descend into the center of an active volcano, fend off darkness in a dark cave, survive the hunt of unseen enemies, solve the puzzle of light and more. To survive, you must master the art of operating silently, movement, speed and brute force."
During the presentation of the expansion, the developers drew attention to the enemies, which come in two colors, red and blue. It looks like this will be important during both silent and open combat. We also know that each rift will offer a passage through a purple or orange portal - it will be up to the player to choose. In addition, after capturing a shard, we will be rewarded with, among other things, new powers or items.
The entire presentation of Lost Between Worlds can be watched below.
You will receive the DLC after purchasing Far Cry 6: Game of the Year Upgrade Pass. Lost Between Worlds will also be available for purchase separately.
