Fan Proposes Safer Flashbangs for CS:GO
Flashbangs in CSGO are a nuisance to the eyes. One player decided to remedy this by creating two alternative grenade explosion effects. Interestingly, Skyrim also received its five minutes in this topic.
Flashbangs, or the flashbang grenades from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, have a rather unpleasant explosive effect on the eyes. One fan of the game decided to remedy this by coming up with two new solutions to protect players from the glaring whiteness of flashbangs.
An unpleasant view
Let him cast a stone who plays CSGO with the lights off and never had a flashbang hit him in the face. This is an extremely unpleasant situation, not only because we can get killed while being blinded, but also because the screen suddenly fills up with white. Flashbangs hurts the eyes, you might say.
Both the current form of flashbang, as well as suggestions from the player, is presented below.
Should Valve change the flashbang?
The grenade in this form is present in CSGO from the very beginning. It's far from being healthy for the eyes, but it doesn't seem that Valve would change the effect of its explosion after so long. Besides, not all players are bothered by the visual aspect of the grenade.
"I personally prefer white flash, it's more realistic. Blurring is unlikely to solve the problem, because people would learn how to shoot through it, because you can see a bit more through it," wrote smiggl3s.
Of course, the unpleasantness associated with a grenade explosion can be reduced by using mods, but the use of third-party software is prohibited by Valve and risky.
It is also worth noting that playing in a suitable environment, i.e. with the lights on, the brightness of the monitor or CSGO itself may significantly improve the comfort of the game.
The black version just begs for a makeover
If you thought about the fact that the moment the black flash effect fades out, a certain scene from Skyrim would begin you are not the only one. One of the users decided to create just such a movie.
Nevertheless, the idea itself is quite good. Many people echoed the author in the comments, although ultimately it's up to Valve to address the issue.
