Work on Fallout TV Series Continues
The series based on the Fallout game series has not been forgotten. The head of Bethesda informed that work on the TV adaptation of the game is still in progress.
During the AMA (Ask Me Anything) session to celebrate Skyrim's 10th anniversary, Todd Howard was asked a question about the progress of the Fallout TV series. This production was announced already a year ago, and still not much was revealed about it, hence the concerns about its development. However, as the head of Bethesda answered - work on the adaptation of the game is still in progress, and he is excited to work with the showrunners.
When Howard mentioned the producers of the series, the community visibly revived and it's no wonder. The aforementioned duo of Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan are responsible for the production of Westworld (Jonah was also involved in the production of The Dark Knight), so we don't have to worry about the quality of the TV adaptation of Fallout. What may cause concern, however, is the fact that we know nothing about the plot or a possible premiere date of the series (which will be held on the Amazon Prime Video platform).
However, this is not the only project of Bethesda's boss which is suspended in time, as we recently learned about plans regarding Fallout 5, which is in the very early stages of production, a Howard claims. So it's going to be a while before we see anything new in the familiar post-apocalyptic universe of Fallout.
