Elden Ring is Doing Very Well on PS4

Elden Ring has no major performance issues on PS4. The game by From Software maintains 30 fps most of the time.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Elden Ring runs well on PlayStation 4, though not without some fps drops.

If you were worried that Elden Ring would run poorly on last-gen consoles, this footage prepared by youtuber Lance McDonald will reassure you. From Software's latest work, despite boasting a vast world, has no major problems maintaining a smooth 30 frames per second.

The following footage comes from the basic version of PlayStation 4, the console released in 2013. The game, of course, runs at a lower resolution and offers worse graphics, but thanks to that it maintains a constant 30 fps.

Unfortunately, which is probably already a standard in From Software games, the problem is frame pacing, which means that even when the game does not lose frames, the image can stutter.. The loss of fluidity takes place especially during bigger clashes, but this is probably expected, bearing in mind the previous achievements of the studio (just look at the games from the Dark Souls series or Bloodborne).

The game's release is set for February 25, 2022. The title will appear on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
