Fallout: The Frontier Mod Available Again
After numerous perturbations, the mod Fallout: The Frontier has been made available again on Nexus Mods. The contribution of the controversial co-creator was cut from the project.
Fallout: The Frontier mod has had a long and bumpy road. Over two weeks ago, after years of development, it finally saw the light of day. However, it did not remain available for too long, as a few days later it was removed as a result of a pedophilia scandal, in the center of which was one of the people working on the project - ZuTheSkunk. Now, after these perturbations, it is again available on Nexus Mods (via Eurogamer).
The new release of The Frontier differs from the originally published version - content created by ZuTheSkunk has been removed. Along with the re-release came a statement from Tgspy, one of the mod's creators:
"We apologize for our temporary silence. It has recently come to our attention that one of the artists for the project, has been creating inappropriate content involving anthropomorphic minors for some time. None of the team members were aware of this person's actions prior to them coming to light, and we condemn them in the strongest possible way. That person was immediately removed from the team, and their contribution to the project were removed (which is the vast majority of pip-boy icons). Do note that, despite some claims to the contrary, this person had no influence on the writing of the project."
It shows that some of the controversial elements of the mod were not introduced by the said developer - including dialogues about slavery. This means that they remained in the new version of The Frontier.
At the same time, it is worth noting that the release of The Frontier on Steam remains under question. The mod's card was taken off the website and it is not known when it will return there.
