Fallout: New Vegas Remaster Would be 'Amazing,' Says Obsidian
The folks at Obsidian Entertainment would like to make a remaster of Fallout: New Vegas, the iconic 2010 RPG.
Yesterday Obsidian announced The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition, a refreshed version of a 2019 RPG. On this occasion, Tim Cain, Leonard Boyarsky and Eric DeMilt from Obsidian Entertainment gave an interview to TheGamer. In it, the question was raised about a possible remaster of the iconic Fallout: New Vegas.
- Cain stated that he would like to make a remaster of Fallout: New Vegas and such a project would be, as he put it, "amazing."
- Leonard Boyarsky also believes that a refreshed version of this classic would be a good idea.
- Eric DeMilt added that Fallout: New Vegas has a very good reputation among RPG fans. As he explains, the game debuted with many technical problems, but they were later fixed. That's why today many people reach for the title due to its rich storyline and memorable characters.
Fans would undoubtedly enjoy a remaster, and would appreciate Fallout: New Vegas 2 even more. The original remains the best-received 3D installment of the series by fans of the brand, which is not surprising, since many veterans of the first two installments worked on it.
Fallout: New Vegas remains quite popular to this day, by the way. Yesterday, at the hottest time of the day, the game on Steam was played by 4,261 people simultaneously. This is an impressive result, especially since we're talking about an almost 13-year-old game without multiplayer.
Unfortunately, last year, on the occasion of the brand's 25th birthday, Obsidian confirmed that it is not working on Fallout: New Vegas 2. However, this does not mean that this will not change in the future. The head of the studio, Feargus Urquhart, recently admitted in an interview with our website that one of his dreams is to make a new installment of the post-apocalyptic series.
