Fae Farm - How to Get Iron Ore
As a farming simulator, Fae Farm requires the player to gather many resources. One of them is Iron Ore. In this guide, you will learn how to find it.
Resource gathering is an important part of Fae Farm gameplay, and Iron Ore is a material you will need sooner or later, as it is used for essential tool upgrades, among others. Below, we explain how to obtain this valuable ore.
Fae Farm - How to Get Iron Ore
The source of Iron Ore in Fae Farm is the Saltwater Mines. It can be obtained from mining or enemy drops.
Iron Ore in Saltwater Mines – Jumble Drop
If you decide to fight Jumbles in the Saltwater Mines, you can potentially obtain Iron Ore faster than from breaking apart rocks. This is because one of the enemies that drop this ore appears on higher floors of the mine than the ore veins themselves.
That Jumble is the Drecksion, a monster that starts appearing on Floor 4. It resembles a pocket watch or a round navigation instrument and it jumps at you in a straight line.
However, there may not be enough Drecksions around for you to gather all the Iron Ore you need. In that case, you will have to mine for it.
Iron Ore in Saltwater Mines – Breaking Rocks
In order to get Iron Ore from rocks, you will need to unlock Floor 10 of the Saltwater Mines. This can be done in two ways.
To proceed through the Mines you have to uncover floor switches randomly by breaking ore. Whether you can find the floor switch depends on luck or preservation. Fortunately, you can also craft Seals and place them in the teleporter to unlock fast travel. These differ depending on the floor. Here are the seals you may need when going to level 10:
- Copper Seal x4 – Floors 1-4
- Hammered Copper Seal 4x – Floors 5-8
- Engraved Copper Seal 2x – Floors 9-10
To make seals you will need to construct the Seal Crafting Station using 20 Stone and 10 Copper Ore.
Once you find Iron Ore (the gray rock with multiple protrusions in the image above), hit it with your Pickaxe to break it apart and harvest it. The lower you down in the Mines, the harder the ore will be to crack, so don’t forget to upgrade your tools at the Blacksmith.
