Everspace 2 Launches in Early Access
In a few hours, the early access version of Everspace 2, the visuallystunning space shooter from Rockfish Games, will launch.

The day space shooter fans have been waiting for for a long time has finally arrived. This afternoon, Everspace 2, a sequel to the popular 2017 game by Rockfish Games, will debut in early access.
For now, the game will be available only on PC. We will buy it on Steam and GOG.com. A console edition is also planned, but it will appear at a later date, most likely together with the release of the full version on PC.
Everspace 2 is expected to spend 12-18 months in early access, so the 1.0 release should take place next year.
The early version of the game is to offer about 25 hours of gameplay, including 12 hours of the main story campaign. The devs intend to expand the title over the next few months by adding more star systems, enemies and activities, introducing additional vessels, items and characters, as well as strongly expanding the list of optional side quests.
At the time of release in early access the game will offer only English language version. Before deciding to buy it, it is worth getting acquainted with the system requirements.
It is worth noting that initially Everspace 2 was to debut in early access in 2020. However, the work was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. The devs could have released their work in December, but decided to postpone it to January 2021, in order not to compete with Cyberpunk 2077 and Outriders. The latter also ended up suffering a months-long delay, but avoiding a clash with CP2077 will probably work out well for Everspace 2 anyway.
