Elfish Warrioress Cast in The Witcher Prequel

Netflix has revealed on social media about who will play one of the lead roles in the upcoming prequel to The Witcher, titled The Witcher: Blood Origin.

Do you remember that Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Declan de Barra are currently working not only on the second season of The Witcher, but also on a prequel series called The Witcher: Blood Origin? It's quite possible that you have forgotten, because we haven't heard much about the latter for several months. We have to go back to September, when it was announced that Jason Momoa, known from Game of Thrones and Aquaman , was to play the main role in the prequel. Today we know who will star alongside him.

Netflix announced the name of the actress who will play the role of Éile, an elfish warrior. It will be Jodie Turner-Smith (pictured above), a British stage artist known also for her modeling career. In her career, she starred in, e.g. the sci-fi series called Nightflyers and in Nicolas Winding Refn's controversial thriller, Neon Demon. Apart from The Witcher : Blood Origin , the actress is also preparing for the role of Henry VIII's wife in a three-episode mini series titled Anne Boleyn.

The air date of The Witcher: Blood Origin is not yet known.
