Elden Ring Could Have Included a Bestiary
Elden Ring may have included a bestiary. Traces suggesting such a possibility were found in the game files.
Elden Ring still hides some secrets. As it turns out, the latest game by From Software could have contained a bestiary. This is evident from the graphics found in its files.
These revelations were reached by Twitter user JesterPatches. In a series of posts he published a number of images depicting various characters from the game. He claims the files contain images of a total of 64 creatures appearing in the game - including among others pigeons and dogs. Interestingly, there are no bosses among them. This may suggest that the bestiary was to contain only NPCs and common enemies.
In addition, each character has two versions of graphics - light and dark. However, it is difficult to determine what they were intended to be used for. JesterPatches suggests that it could have helped to distinguish if we encountered a particular character. However, it's impossible to tell if that was actually the intended use.
From Software is still working on Elden Ring and adding new content to the game. So it's possible that the bestiary will also be included at some point.
