Elden Ring Colosseum Found; Could be a Piece of DLC
Lance McDonald, who looks for hidden content in soulslike games, among other things, has found a colosseum hidden in the world of Elden Ring. It is very possible that players will access to it in a DLC.
Elden Ring still hides many secrets. One of them has apparently been discovered by Lance McDonald - a youtuber known for hacking games, mostly Japanese titles. His finding seems to suggest that FromSoftware's will enable us to fight duels in the arena straight from the ancient Rome.
PvP in a colosseum
McDonald shared his finding on Twitter. He suggested that the location he discovered could be included in Elden Ring as part of the DLC. The entry along with the accompanying video (its visibility is set to private) can be found below.
New location in a DLC is very possible.
Players on both Twitter and Reddit took a look at McDonald's discovery through the lens of the Japanese studio's previous games.
- One of the users compared the outdoor colosseum to a location present in Dark Souls 2.
- There was also an argument, raising the issue of arenas added to first and third Dark Souls games via DLCs.
- What's more, there are also mentions about a DLC, however, according to both the author of the commentary and McDonald - this does not necessarily indicate one is being prepared.

It's worth mentioning that the location McDonald showed in the video is one of three similar ones present on the map. Other twin structures can also be found in Caelid and on the Altus Plateau (the one McDonald "broke into" is located in Limgrave).
- For this reason, "adding a coliseum in DLC" could simply mean unlocking access to the arena.
So what's the arena for, after all?
While the very presence of the arena in the game is rather undisputed, players are not quite sure what is the purpose of this location.
- The most often cited is the use for PvP duels. We must admit that the possibility of fighting in a colosseum sounds inviting and atmospheric.
- The second "camp" draws attention to the use of arenas in the context of boss battles. This option sounds a little less interesting.
- There are also some ridiculous voices suggesting the addition of a Battle Royale mode, but let's be honest - that's not going to happen.
Whatever the use of the arena uncovered by McDonald, at least we found out what lies behind the doors of one of the three so far closed buildings.
