Early Access to Everspace 2 Coming This Month; Full Release in 2022

Everspace 2 will begin its early access period in less than two weeks. It will spend at least a year there, during which it will be updated with new content. The release of the full version is set for 2022.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  1. Everspace 2 will launchy in early access on January 18, this year.
  2. The title will offer about 25 hours of gameplay and a promise of regular updates.
  3. The plaunch of the full version is scheduled for 2022.

Everspace 2 will be available in early access on January 18, 2021 on Steam and GOG.com. Rockfish Games revealed the content of the prepared early version and told us how much we will have to wait for the release of the full version.

Funded on Kickstarter in 2019, Everspace 2 was originally scheduled to be released late last year. However, initially due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and later because of the release of Cyberpunk 2077, the developers postponed the release date twice. Since yesterday, we already know that early access will begin in less than two weeks.

Devs at Rockfish Games promise about 25 hours of fun to begin with. Available content will consist of two solar systems, several ship classes, some story and side tasks. Character voices for the first 12 hours of the campaign have also been recorded. In the coming months, updates will be released to expand the content of Everspace 2. Up to six additional systems, several character classes and the rest of the story mode are planned.

The developers' plan assumes that Everspace 2 will spend 18 months in early access and launch by the end of 2022 at a "reasonable" price. Those impatient will be able to check the unfinished version for 38 dollars on Steam and GOG.
