EA Will Have Surprise Announcements Alongside New NFS
Electronic Arts is rubbing its hands in glee thinking of the next fiscal year, which is expected to bring big increases. It the period between April 2022 and March 2023 we will also play several yet unannounced titles. The source of this information is EA's quarterly investor call.
EA confirms it has 3-4 unannounced titles that will go on sale in fiscal year 2023 (April 2022 - March 2023). CFO Blake Jorgensen made the announcement during a conference call, regarding the company's earnings in the final three months of 2021.
"A new Need for Speed game is coming and we have three or four titles that we haven't announced yet. We're always trying to find new ways to expand our portfolio year after year with new games, new IPs or expansions."
Electronic Arts expects fiscal 2023 to see more revenue growth than the previous year, which could translate into upcoming major launches. Those games likely include Jedi Fallen Order 2 and the already announced remake of Dead Space. The list of games scheduled for next fiscal year may also include Dragon Age 4.
According to TweakTown the games that may come out at that time are:
- Apex Legend Mobile
- Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2
- Madden NFL 23
- FIFA 23
As you can see, this is a safe prediction and the only more interesting, at least slightly non-obvious title is Fallen Order 2, which according to insiders is expected to be announced in May.
CEO Andrew Wilson also confirms that the company is committed to expanding its portfolio of regular franchises with new titles. This includes BioWare games, as well as the Need for Speed, The Sims, Skate and Dead Space series.
