Electronic Arts has decided to join the boycott of Russia. The company announced that Russia's team and all sports clubs from this country will disappear from FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile and FIFA Online. At this point, it is not known when exactly the content removal will take place.

The official statement says that the situation is dictated by Russia's aggression against Ukraine. As we can read in it:

Such a move is also to some extent an extension of the decisions of sports organizations FIFA and UEFA, which have excluded Russian teams from international competitions.

EA will remove Russia not only from the popular football series. The country will also disappear from another sports title - NHL 22. A short statement was also published, with almost identical content as in the case of FIFA.

So this is another situation in which companies in the game industry express their opposition to Russian aggression. You can learn about other such initiatives from the following link.
