Dungeonborne is a dark fantasy dungeon crawler inspired by Dark and Darker. In this early access game you explore the underground alone (or with friends), fight enemies and collect loot. Currently, the game is struggling with several elements. One of them is the lack of controller support. However, is there a method to bypass this problem?

Controller Support in Dungeonborne Explained

Like I said earlier, Dungeonborne doesn’t have any official controller support. This means, you can only play this game with mouse and keyboard. As expected, this has caused complaining among players. Especially that there is no certainty, that support will be added in the future.

Some people however are trying to play on controller anyway. To do this, they use Steam's built-in tool. When you connect your pad to the PC on the page of each game in your library, you will see information about controller support. It’s shown in the right side of the screen.

When the game doesn’t have official support, you can open the controller settings. Here you can create mapping, that allows you to convert keypad controls to your pad. Additionally, If you don’t want to do this by your own, you can search the community layoffs for the specific game.

However, in Dungeonborne this custom controllers settings doesn’t work in most of the cases. Assigning specific functions to buttons works only partially (or not at all). So you can try, but the is no guarantee, that this will work.
