Dragon Ball, created by Akira Toriyama, has become a cultural icon, recognized by people everywhere—even those who aren't particularly into Japanese culture. It’s a timeless classic. Now, we have the chance to dive back into the world of Goku and his friends, once again facing overwhelming odds to protect what matters most.

Dragon Ball Daima release date and number of episodes

The first episode of Dragon Ball Daima is set to drop on Crunchyroll on October 11, with a Netflix release following on October 18. New episodes will roll out weekly on both platforms. The premiere episode (on Crunchyroll) is scheduled to air at 10:00 a.m. PT.

Dragon Ball Daima is expected to have a total of 20 episodes, and if there are no interruptions, the series finale will air on January 28, 2025. Fans can look forward to an exciting few months ahead!

What is Dragon Ball Daima about?

Dragon Ball Daima is produced by Toei Animation and marks the latest addition to the Dragon Ball franchise. What makes this anime stand out is that Akira Toriyama, who passed away on March 1, 2024, played a significant role in its production. The legendary creator was involved in the story development and character designs. Because of Toriyama’s input, fans can feel confident that the series remains true to the core themes that have defined the Dragon Ball franchise for decades.

Dragon Ball Daima is set after the defeat of Majin Buu, picking up after the events of Dragon Ball Z but just before Dragon Ball Super, when Beerus, the God of Destruction, makes his debut. The anime takes the series back to its roots, giving us a chance to see a young Goku once again. But why Goku has reverted to his younger self remains a mystery—one that will unfold as we watch the new episodes of DB Daima, airing weekly starting today.
