Dota 2 Mod Comes Full Circle, Giving Us Auto Chess MOBA
Auto Chess MOBA, featuring characters from the popular auto battler, has been announced. Thus, the brand has come full circle, as it was born as a mod for Dota 2.
- Characters from Auto Chess;
- Character and item synergy system;
- Free access to all heroes;
- Progression only by playing matches;
- Day and night system influencing visibility, among other things;
- Ability to destroy environmental objects.
Dragonest Games announced Auto Chess MOBA, a spin-off of the popular Auto Chess. The game will use free-to-play model. For now, we do not know the planned release date or target platforms. However, the history of the brand suggests at least PC and mobile editions.
The characters from the original Auto Chess will appear in the game, but they'll have new skills, adjusted to the specifics of the MOBA genre. What's important, all characters will be available for free. There will also be no paid runes. The game will be made more attractive by the ability to destroy elements of the environment and addition of a day and night system, which will affect visibility and other gameplay elements.
In the game will also feature the synergy mechanics between characters and objects, known from Auto Chess, providing various useful bonuses.
The authors' goal is to create a game that will ensure fair and well-balanced online skirmishes, without the option of buying yourself advantages. What's more, the character dprogression will take place only by taking part in matches, and not, for example, by regularly logging into an account to reclaim some reward. Therefore, all heroes will always be available for free, as the situation where one player has access to a larger pool of heroes provides him with an advantage.
For Dragonest Games, this will be a return to its roots. After all, in 2015 the company released Fight for Freedom, which was one of the first successful mobile MOBAs. After that, however, the team was left in the dust by the competition.
The announcement of the game means that the brand has come full circle. It was born as Dota Auto Chess, a modification for the MOBA Dota 2. Then the authors, people from the Drodo studio, decided to develop an independent, commercial version of the project and so Auto Chess was created, which was published by Dragonest Games. Now, on the basis of this game a MOBA title is being created.
