Don't Starve Together coming out in two weeks; Shipwrecked content may be added in the future
Don't Starve Together Steam Early Access ends on April 21, 2016. The content of Don't Starve: Shipwrecked will not be included in the final version, but it may be put in the game at some point in the future.
Don’t Starve Together has finally got a release date. The multiplayer take on Klei Entertainment’s popular survival game is leaving Steam Early Access on April 21, 2016, that is in two weeks’ time. After nearly one and a half year since fans were invited to help develop the game in December 2014, the team now feels that Don’t Starve Together is at content parity with the original game, Reign of Giants and Caves. As for the recently released Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked content, there are no solid plans yet, but Klei says “we would all love to go sailing with our friends”. Sounds promising, doesn’t it?
The developers also assured us that they didn’t forget about the free DLC called Through the Ages. Since Don't Starve Together is now almost ready, the studio will get to some werious work on this new content pack. Actually, some of its features are going to make it to Don’t Starve Together 1.0 version – read more on that on the official forums.
In other news, Don't Starve Together has got a new update with bug fixes and small improvements – check out the patch notes here. Last but not least, PlayStation 4 version of Don't Starve Together is in the works too, but there is no telling when it will be out.
