“It still kills me.” Michelle Pfeiffer, to this day, has not come to terms with the decision by which she is unable to watch the movie with Brad Pitt

Michelle Pfeiffer can't stop regretting that she didn't get to star in Ridley Scott's 1991 film. Because of this, she still hasn't watched it to this day.

Despite having a successful career, Michelle Pfeiffer made several mistakes during her career that she regrets to this day. One, however, she could not avoid due to a conflict in her schedule. Overlapping projects forced her to drop one. Thus, she had to leave the film Thelma & Louise, in which she had previously been very involved. So much so that on her initiative Ridley Scott stepped behind the camera.

Unfortunately, delays already in the pre-production phase of Thelma & Louise meant that work on the film began to overlap with Pfeiffer's plans for Love Field. The actress, albeit with a heavy heart, had to let go of Ridley Scott's movie, which seems even more so when you think how successful it was. It also helped launch the career of Brad Pitt, who played one of the important roles.

Michelle Pfeiffer told Variety about how she regrets not being able to play in Thelma & Louise.

I still can’t watch Thelma & Louise. It was a direct conflict, so it was one film or the other. It still kills me. You can’t always do everything. You’ve got to give something up.

Although the film Thelma & Louis was a commercial success, neither can it be said that Pfeiffer made a bad decision in choosing Love Field, as her role in this production earned her an Oscar nomination. In turn, this is no small thing. Nevertheless, the actress still regrets to this day that she did not manage to do both projects and also star in Thelma & Louise, which she wanted. And so much so that she has not watched the 1991 film until now.
