Life Is Strange Devs Have Another Big Action RPG in the Pipeline
Studio Don't Nod is working on another big action RPG in addition to Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Project 12 is unlikely to be Vampyr 2.
We know that French studio Don't Nod, responsible for, among other things, the Life Is Strange series and the RPG Vampyr, plans to release two games this year. One of them will be the narrative game Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, and the other Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. From the press release made available on the official website of the company we know that Banishers is not the only action RPG that Don't Nod has planned. As we read in the section dedicated to this genre of games:
"With already one successful intellectual property (Vampyr) and a new one to be released in 2023 (Banishers), Don't Nod is working on a new self-published game (Project 12) that will represent a step up in terms of production value."
Probably Project 12 is not a continuation of the relatively well received Vampyr from 2018, because the devs listed these games separately and did not emphasize that the mystery action RPG represents the same brand. Project 12 is described as a larger-scale game with richer mechanics, offering more engaging stories (presumably compared to at least the Life Is Strange) series. Unfortunately, we will have to wait for more information on this game, as it has been it was mentioned in Don't Nod's development strategy after 2025..
By 2025, the studio plans to release eight games. One of them will be the aforementioned Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, which will debut in June on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch and PC. The second, on the other hand, is Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, whose publisher is Focus Entertainment - the exact release date of this title is unknown. It will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
