Disney Dreamlight Valley Brings Back Charms of Youth in Early Access
The debut of Disney Dreamlight Valley in early access can be considered successful. The game clearly appealed to players.
The day before yesterday, Disney Dreamlight Valley, a hybrid of adventure and simulation game, in which we can taste life in an idyllic valley inhabited by famous characters from Disney and Pixar films, has debuted in early access. Dozens of hours after its release, one is already tempted to say that the project has lived up to expectations.
Warm reception of Disney Dreamlight Valley
Recall that the game hit PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
- The game was released in early access and websites do not give it final review scores at this time. Initial scores are high, however: on God is a Geek it is 90/100, Hobby Consolas - 83%, and Multiplayer.it - 80%.
- On Steam 93% of user ratings are positive, which is categorized as "very positive reception."
- The game is also achieving good sales results on Steam. At the time of writing, the Ultimate edition ranks fourth on the website's global bestseller list, while the standard edition is in sixth place.
- The game's activity record on Steam, set last night, stands at 6197 concurrent users.
- Such a result may not sweep you off your feet, but it's a good one, considering that it's a rare case of a game that will use a free-to-play model with microtransactions in version 1.0, but its early access version requires payment. Thus, only very dedicated Disney fans are playing it at the moment, and most of those interested are waiting for the release of the full version.
The game's performance on Steam is undoubtedly also strongly influenced by the fact that Disney Dreamlight Valley is also available in parallel as part of a Game Pass subscription, both on PC and consoles.
