Disco Elysium The Final Cut Launches on March 30; New Trailer Available
Developers from ZA/UM have unveiled a new trailer for Disco Elysium - The Final Cut, revealing the game's release date on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, set for March 30. The game features new content that will be made available for free to owners of the PC version at the same time.
Disco Elysium was originally released in 2019 on PC and instantly became a hit whose status was confirmed by numerous industry awards and accolades. Last year, the devs from the Estonian studio ZA/UM announced a refreshed and expanded version of the game, which is being developed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Today, the devs published a trailer of their work, containing basic information about the gameplay, as well as showing new elements, which will reach those who own the game on PC in the form of a free update. Disco Elysium - The Final Cut will appear on consoles on March 30, at the same time we'll be able to download a patch with all the new content introduced by the port on PC.
The Final Cut version offers full English voice acting for all dialogues (previously only selected characters were dubbed) and numerous audiovisual improvements. Fans can look forward to new animations, surround sound, portraits, and lighting effects, as well as support for 4K and 60 fps (on consoles). The refreshed edition of Disco Elysium will also feature new missions and scenarios along with new characters, locations and items. Of course, the game will also offer the ability to play with the controller on all supported platforms.
Devs at ZA/UM are probably already preparing to work on the second installment of Disco Elysium, while also working on the port for Nintendo Switch, which should go on sale later, this year.
