Dirty Bomb to receive Containment War update tomorrow

A free-to-play online shooter Dirty Bomb is going to receive a big content update tomorrow. Containment War patch will introduce the Execution Mode, three new maps, and two playable characters.

Dirty Bomb, a free-to-play online shooter set in a post-apocalyptic London ruled by rivaling mercenaries, is going to receive the biggest content update since the launch of open beta in June 2015. The update called Containment War is coming out this week, October 28.

First and foremost, it will introduce the Execution Mode, in which two competing teams of players try to reach their objectives having only one life per round. This is played on two of three new maps: Overground and Market. The third one – called Dome, which is said to be colossal – will be available in the existing game modes.

There is also Stoker, a new playable mercenary. His role is to set things on fire with Molotov cocktails and supply his teammates with ammo. Besides, anyone who logs on to game in the week after the launch of the Containment War will receive a medic called Phoenix at no cost. Other details on the upcoming update can be found in Steam news.
