'Wait, You Guys Thought I Meant Walls as in a Siege System...?' Manor Lords Players Send Styczen on Well-Deserved Vacation
Grzegorz Styczen, responsible for the well-received Manor Lords, hasn't communicated with fans of his game. Despite the disagreements, players aren't angry with the developer, instead, they persistently send him on vacation.
The dev of Manor Lords didn't understand the gaming community's perspective on the walls, which are supposed to be part of the next game update. However, the fans weren't offended by Grzegorz Styczen, and they kindly suggested he take a well-deserved vacation.
Everything started with a vote that was conducted a few days ago on the Manor Lords server on Discord. The community was to decide which feature would be introduced first to the medieval hit. The majority of voters, of course, opted for the unfortunate "Town walls."
However, the respondents thought that they were talking about walls in a siege system. Meanwhile, the dev, as he noted in a response on the game's subreddit, wanted to introduce a tool for building wooden urban fences.
Wait, you guys thought I meant walls as in a siege system...? [...] I just wanted to add a proper wooden town wall tool cause you guys kept using the castle planner to wall your towns which causes a glitch -- wrote Styczen.
Later in his post, the founder of the Slavic Magic studio proposed a solution to the misunderstanding - he could focus on developing appropriate stone walls, but this would mean postponing the patch by a month or two. The developer fears that fans wouldn't have enough patience to endure such a long waiting time.
Styczen's worries turned out to be unfounded. The commenters on his post gave him "free rein" in his actions. One of them would be happy to even send him on vacation, a sentiment echoed by several hundred other Reddit users. However, the dev didn't comment on this suggestion.
Greg honestly my first vote is that you take a vacation and make sure you're taking care of yourself.
