Diablo the Hell 2 Now Available After 16 Years of Development
The complete version of The Hell 2 mod for the first Diablo has been released. It took the creators almost 17 years to get to this point.
The full version of the massive mod The Hell 2 for Diablo: Hellfire has been released. In the future, the developers may still prepare some small fixes, but the mod at this point fully realizes the vision that the authors had at the beginning of the work.
Getting to this point took as long as 16.5 years. Work on the modification called The Hell began, after all, in 2006 and this version was developed for 11 years, and in 2017 the team switched to The Hell 2. The developers have spent the last six months fixing bugs and making minor adjustments to finally release the complete version, numbered 1.2502.

The Hell 2 - what it is and why you should install it
The Hell 2 aims to expand the game, as well as improve its stability and gameplay balance.
- The project expands the content of the game and the expansion by 50%. Killing Diablo at level 16 does not end the campaign. Instead, it opens access to many lower level dungeons.
- The engine has also been heavily improved, offering, among other things, support for ultra-widescreen resolutions (up to 4K) and windowed mode, as well as configurable maximum frame rates (from 20 to 10k fps).
- Network multiplayer has been restored and numerous improvements have been made for multiplayer gameplay, such as a dynamic difficulty level that adjusts to the number of players.
- All bugs from Diablo and the Hellfire expansion, which remained after the official patches have been removed.
- A ton of new items, monsters, spells and shrines have been added.
- AI of monsters has been improved.
- With the mod we can choose between 6 classes and 29 subclasses for our character.
- The Hell 2 offers eight difficulty levels and rich configuration options to customize the gameplay to our preferences.
- The interface was also improved, including increasing the number of slots in the inventory and heavily expanding the keyboard shortcut system.
- A lot of cut content has also been restored, including quite a few missions.
- The music has been remastered.
