Diablo Immortal Tech Alpha Schedule and New Gameplay Footage

Blizzard informed about the upcoming tech alpha tests of Diablo's mobile installment. New gameplay fragments were also presented.

Developers responsible for Diablo Immortal informed that the game's technical alpha tests will start soon. The launch date has not been specified, but it is known that the public tests will be attended by users previously registered in Australia and that they will last several weeks. The project will be aimed at checking server stability, client performance and collecting feedback and suggestions for the game.

Tech alpha will take place mainly in Australia. Access will first be given to those who have registered in Google Play and App Store. They will be informed at the start of the tests and only if their registered device meets the minimum hardware requirements (presented below). Several selected community members will also be invited.

The hardware requirements for Diablo Immortal are as follows:

Android devices:

CPU: Snapdragon 710/Hisilicon Kirin 810 or better

GPU: Adreno 616/ARM Mali-G52 or better

RAM: 2 GB or more

Version: Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop) or later

iOS devices:

iPhone 8 or later

Version: iOS 12 or higher

What will appear in tech alpha version?

The next part of popular action RPG will tell us about the events taking place between Diablo II: Lord of Destruction and Diablo III. Testers will see Sanctuary as a dark and gothic world. They will receive four character classes: Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk and Wizard (another two professions - Crusader and Necromancer - will appear on the day of launch). They will fight bloody, dynamic battles against so far unknown, dangerous monsters, they will visit variable dungeons and will have the opportunity to see an extensive progress system and random item generation. For those interested in these systems, character progression, items or gameplay, separate articles for each element of the game have appeared on Blizzard's website. There are also some new gameplay videos from the alpha:

There are also intros for each class:

The creators also informed that the game will be 100% free, including the main storyline and all classes, and the gameplay will not be limited. Additionally, all planned story expansions, new classes, locations and content will also be free. Shopping in the game will be optional and will not interfere with progress, and its role will be rather "complementary".

As for the release date, the devs of Diablo Immortal cannot reveal the details yet, but it seems to be getting closer.
