Diablo 4 With Mediocre Steam Debut; Players Rate New Season
The release of Diablo 4 on Steam did not bring the game great popularity. Players complain about changes and bugs in the second season.
Season of Blood in Diablo 4 has already begun, and with it the game debuted on Steam. It could have been assumed that a new hype would appear around the game, but at the end of the day we only have to deal with murmurs. For the moment, the title is not particularly popular, especially for a brand as strong as Diablo. Players, on the other hand, have a lot to say about the new season. A sizable group of them seems to be dissatisfied with the changes.
Diablo 4's poor performance on Steam
Diablo 4 had its original release on June 6, but it only hit Steam, the most popular digital game distribution platform, yesterday, on October 17. However, the title cannot boast good results in terms of player interest.
According to statistics collected by SteamDB the maximum number of concurrent players is 2568 at the moment. It can be seen, however, that after the scant interest in the game at launch (at times up to 2,000 players at once), the number is slightly, but still growing. We are curious to see how Blizzard's game will perform in this regard after the first weekend of presence on Steam.
Diablo 4 is also not very well received on Valve's platform. Currently, only 58% of players speak positively about the game (based on 363 reviews), which is certainly not a reason for Blizzard to be happy.
Players rate Season of Blood in Diablo 4
Second season has already kicked off, and it turns out that a sizable group of players rate it rather poorly. Their comments are dominated by complaints about gaining experience too quickly.
"All monsters die after 2 seconds and you gain a new level after killing 5 mobs. Thanks to everyone for spoiling the game," complains sno0ks
"It used to be that everyone was complaining about gaining levels too slowly, and now we have the opposite problem. It completely deflates the game experience," reports TwelveVegans
In addition, players are also bothered by bugs, such as not receiving currency for quests or navigation that doesn't direct characters to the right place. It is worth noting, however, that the game has already received two hotfixes in a short period of time and there will certainly be more to come.
Of course, there is also no shortage of players who, despite errors and significanty accelerated progression praise the second season of Diablo 4. To them, Blizzard's announcements of "making the game more enjoyable" were apparently on spot.
"The second season is so far very good. Aside from the bugs (which I'm sure will be fixed soon), the second season makes me want to play even more. I look forward to the future of Diablo 4," declares Gabby_Stx
"It plays better than I expected and the gameplay is more challenging, I can't wait to come across some uniques," praises PleasantGuava9898
It is also interesting to note that opinions on changes related to horseback riding are strongly divided.. Some players highly praise the sense of freedom while traversing the world, while others are bothered by the speed of movement and, in their opinion, it does not match the animation of the horse.
It remains to be hoped that the problems irritating the players will be fixed quickly, and Diablo 4 will burst into a flame of popularity over the weekend.
