First season of Diablo 4 is underway, and it's fair to say that the developers have managed to put out most of the fires with update 1.1.1, which was warmly received by the community. Nevertheless, many issues remain unresolved, such as the lack some QoL features.

Loot filtering

One of them is the loot drop filtering so as to be able to "separate the wheat from the chaff", or in this case - useful items from unnecessary trash. Currently, all picked up items have to be reviewed manually, leading to frustration and clogged inventory.

However, if the words of Rod Fergusson, general manager of Diablo 4, are to be believed the developers are working on a proper solution to this problem. The developer admitted on X (formerly Twitter) that the lack of this option needs to be fixed.

Another issue on which new light has been shed is the planned rework of elemental immunity. Here, in turn, we have a statement from community manager Adam Fletcher, who assured that the developers want to improve this element in the second season of Diablo 4.

Resistance is often considered by players to be one of the least useful stats, and since even the developers see that something is up, a rework is most definitely in order. Admittedly, these assurances are far from concrete - no dates were given - but it's clear that there's a desire at Blizzard to keep improving Diablo 4. What will be the effect of these changes? We'll see.
