Second Diablo 4 Open Beta Announced - Blizzard Grants a Wish
During a broadcast dedicated to Diablo IV, a pleasant surprise was announced for fans of the game. A second open beta will take place in mid-May.
If you had fun during the Diablo IV beta in March, then Blizzard has some good news. In less than a month there will be another open beta. Server Slam - will begin on May 12 at 9:00 p.m. CET and end on May 14 at 9:00 p.m. CET. All those willing will be able to play the fourth Diablo on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S and PCs.
The developers decided to run one more beta to properly prepare the servers for the release. This is also in response to requests from fans who would like to play one more time before the release (June 6) of Diablo IV. It is worth mentioning that during the Server Slam we will experience numerous changes that Blizzard announced after the March testing, based on the feedback shared by players.
As for the progress from March - these will not be carried over to the "server tests". On the other hand, if you received all the rewards then, you don't have to earn them again during the upcoming Server Slam - they will be mostly the same items. Trophies earned during either test will be carried over to the full version of Diablo IV.
May will also see the return of a challenge familiar from earlier tests, namely the opportunity to confront Ashava. The fight with the monster will be available for the first time on May 13 at 6 p.m. CET After that, it will appear every three hours, i.e. more frequently than in March. Developers emphasize that defeating it will not be easy, as Server Slam will enable character levels only up to 20. As before, we will be able to play the prologue and the first act, having a choice of all five character classes.
If you still have the Diablo IV beta installed, then all you need to do is download the new update when it becomes available. Otherwise, you will have to search for and install Diablo IV - Server Testing (regardless of the platform). Early downloads of the game will be possible from May 10 from 9 p.m. CET. The release of the full version of Diablo IV will take place on June 6 on PS4, PS5, XOne, XSX/S, and PCs.
