Here's What's in Store for Us After Diablo 4's Release; Plenty to Spend Money On
Blizzard Entertainment has given an approximate launch date for the first season of Diablo IV and summarized what players can expect shortly after the game's release.
During the broadcast discussed below, an announcement was also made that the leaderboards in Diablo 4 will not be launched until after the 3rd season.
Blizzard provided new information on the development of Diablo IV after its June 6 release. During the broadcast and in an extensive post on the official website the developers discussed the course and general content of the seasons, the first of which will launch in the second half of July. Earlier it was mentioned only that it will take place "weeks" after the debut of Diablo 4 (which meant a delay compared to the information from last year).
The relatively late launch of Season 1 (although, according to some fans, that's still too early) may be due to the fact that access to its content will require completion of the main campaign of fourth Diablo. Blizzard therefore wants to give players time to complete the game at least once.
Of course, each season will bring with it a battle pass - both free, consisting of 27 ranks, and in a paid premium version, which will give access to another 63 reward levels. However, as reported some time ago, Diablo IV will offer not two, but three battle pass variants, including two premium:
- the premium battle pass will cost one thousand platinum, the equivalent of about $10;
- for the "accelerated" battle pass, supplementing the premium pass with an additional emoticon and the option to skip 20 levels, you will pay 2.8 thousand platinum $12.
Blizzard also took the opportunity to reassure that the items from the Diablo IV store will not affect the gameplay. Equipment purchased with money will only be used to, and we quote, "express yourself" in the game with the appearance of your character. Also included are sample comparisons of the legendary armor we will acquire in the "normal" way, with those from the store offer (although their appearance may still change by the time of release).

Diablo IV will be released on June 6. The title will debut on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. More open beta tests will begin this Friday at 9 p.m. CET and will last until May 14 until same hour.
