Don't Do This in Diablo 4 if You Don't Want a Permaban
The developers of Diablo IV warn that the use of any third-party modifications in the game - even the simplest ones - comes with a risk of permaban.
The first season of online competition in Diablo IV has begun in earnest. Some of the players, as is sometimes the case with online games, probably thought of using all sorts of mods. This, in turn, can have some really unpleasant consequences.
- Developers of Diablo IV warn players (although it sounded more like a threat) against using third-party software that may violate the terms of the license agreement. Attempts to facilitate or modify the game in an unauthorized way may result in permanent loss of access to your account.
"All Diablo IV players agree to the terms of the license agreement before playing. Blizzard's EULA explicitly prohibits cheating, bots, hacks and any other unauthorized software that automates, modifies or otherwise interferes with gameplay. This is important for player safety, as well as for the long-term integrity of the game," reads the statement from community manager of Diablo IV, Adam Fletcher.
- Interestingly, among the group of modifications that Blizzard will not tolerate is TurboHUD4. This tool expands the original game interface, giving access to information on resources, experience, maps and more. However, it is interesting in that the TurboHUD overlaywas not banned in Diablo III. In contrast, in World of Warcraft this type of tool is fully legal and supported.
"With this in mind, we want to clarify that the use of TurboHUD4, like any other game modification software, is prohibited in Diablo IV. Players who install such software will put their accounts at risk of disciplinary action, which may include permanent suspension," it warns.
And while the above warning should come as no surprise, the problem may be the lack of a prepared offline mode in Diablo IV, which would enable us to play on our own terms without worrying about a possible ban.
