Blizzard on Right Track? Diablo 4 Beta Receives a Lot of Praise
The second open beta of Diablo 4 has been very much liked by the players. In particular, a number of favorable changes compared to previous tests have been praised.
Yesterday another Diablo 4 open beta has been launched. Player reactions are very enthusiastic, and judging by them, the Blizzard Entertainment will deliver a real hit in June.
- Players are praising not only the game itself (it has already received good feedback in previous tests), but also the favorable changes that have been made compared to the earlier beta.
- Fans are pleased with improvements in engine performance and server stability. They also praise better loot balance, although here it should be mentioned that in the first beta the developers purposely exaggerated the generosity of loot drops to make it easier to start the game. In the current test version, the difficulty level in general has been raised and players liked it a lot.
- Below we quote some comments from players on Reddit.
"So far the servers are performing perfectly. Zero problems, the game looks great and is really challenging in terms of gameplay. (...) Every battle takes longer, the elite enemies are much more challenging, and the bosses in the dungeons absolutely kick my ass."
"The game performance is perfect with me. I don't want to say too much and jinx it."
"I noticed a huge difference from the first weekend of the beta. There are no queues at all this time. They really don't want to repeat the disaster of Diablo 3 launch."
"This is exactly what the classic Diablo is supposed to be. You should be happy when you get a legendary item, not five hundred of them in an hour. The loot system in Diablo 3 is not something they should strive for! The current balance is much better than in the first beta. Let the grind begin!"
"I really like how the loot looks now compared to the beta. The beta showered us with rare and legendary items. Now finding a rare item is much more exciting."
- Of course, there is also no shortage of criticism. It mainly focuses on the nerfing of the necromancer, about which we wrote in detail yesterday.
- The devs are diligently following the feedback of players and based on it will make further changes before the release of the full version. Rod Fergusson from Blizzard confirmed that the developers are aware of the negative reaction to the nerfing of the necromancer and what we see in the second open beta is not the final balance of this class.
Recall that the full version of Diablo 4 will debut on June 6, 2023. The game will be released simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
If you want to check out the game before the release then you need to hurry. This is because the open beta will come to an end today at 9 p.m. CET.
