Diablo 2: Resurrected Launches - Blizzard's Classic in New Clothes
In just a few hours Diablo II: Resurrected will be released. We've learned that post-release plans include support for the DLSS technology.
The release day of Diablo II: Resurrected, the refreshed version of Blizzard Entertainment's classic hack'n'slash game, is finally here. The game will debut simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
Diablo II: Resurrected will be unlocked at 8 AM PT. The PC version will be available exclusively through Battle.net.
It is worth mentioning that the issue of support for Nvidia's DLSS technology has been clarified. After player by the handle RepsUp100 dug up the info suggesting such a possibility, the floor was taken by Kevin Todisco from Vicarious Visions, the studio responsible for the project (which recently became part of Blizzard Entertainment). The developer confirmed that DLSS support in Diablo II: Resurrected is planned, but the developers won't have it ready in time for release and the feature will be added later on.
The developers recently admitted that they've been thinking a lot about potential additional content for Diablo 2: Ressurected. They have a lot of interesting ideas, which according to them would appeal even to very orthodox fans, but their implementation will depend on the reaction of players to the base version of the game.
Unfortunately, no reviews have appeared yet, so it's hard to say whether Diablo II: Ressurected meets the high expectations, especially since Blizzard Entertainment's recent games left a lot to be desired.
