Development of Evil Dead game continues
Bruce Campbell confirms that the latest Evil Dead game is still under development.
It seems that the new video game adaptation of the iconic Evil Dead movie series, which was announced last August, is still under development. Whatever doubts the community may have had – sprouting from the long-term silence of the creators – were finally dispelled by Bruce Campbell, who starred the movies’ chansaw-wielding protagonist, Ash. When one of the fans asked if there were any chances for a new game, the actor answered with a short "Yes".
Unfortunately, for the time being we do not know anything about the emerging title. We don't even know what are its desined platforms or what kind of genre it will represent – although considering the nature, atmosphere and style of the franchise, it would be highly surprising if the game emerged as a complex economic strategy or a dating sim (on the other hand... we’ve seen stranger things happening, so…). The most probable option, however, is a survival horror similar to the previous installments, known from PC, PlayStation 2 and the original Xbox: Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick and Evil Dead: Regeneration, or the PC ans PS1 Evil Dead: Hail to the King.
Just to remind you, the last game in the Evil Dead franchise was Evil Dead: Endless Nightmare was released on mobile platforms in 2016.
