Phasmophobia is an enduringly popular horror game in which we hunt ghosts. As standard, we have to collect evidence to determine what kind of ghost we are dealing with. Now, however, a new mode has appeared in the game, detectives only, which completely changes the gameplay. In this guide you will learn how it works.
Phasmophobia - what is detectives only?
Detectives only is a time-limited challenge, which makes gameplay much more difficult. Instead of investigating the conventional way and collecting evidence, you have to determine the type of ghost based only on its activity. So you can't look for fingerprints, use EMF or talk through the Spirit Box.
Phasmophobia - how to complete the detectives only challenge?
If you want to complete this challenge, you need to know how the different types of ghosts behave. Some of the phantoms stand out extremely strongly and are definitely easier to detect:
- Banshee is easy to recognize with the help of the Parabolic Microphone. This is all due to the characteristic high-pitched sound it makes.
- Mare is sensitive to light. Thus, it will not be particularly inclined to attack if it is bright.
- Phantom disappears immediately after you take its picture.
- Shade will not attack if you move in a group.
- The Twins can be recognized by interacting with two different objects at the same time.
- Wraith floats above the ground and will never leave footprints in the salt.
Hunt is also important in the case of ghosts. At this point they reveal many of their characteristics. Pay attention to the visibility of the phantom, the speed of its movement and the radius of electrical interference. Of course, you have all the characteristics of these beings described in the diary.
