Decision to Delay PS5 Game Presentation is Adored on Twitter

The information about the postponement of Sony's online event, originally scheduled for this Thursday, published on Twitter collected nearly 537 thousand likes in less than two days. This makes it the most „liked” post related to digital entertainment on the website.

Sony's decision from last Monday to postpone the online event, scheduled for this Thursday, presenting the games lineup for PlayStation 5 has caused a lot of controversy. Some consider it a missed decision, others applaud it, arguing that the public is now busy with the dramatic events taking place in the US. The latter group is quite numerous, as the figures show. In less than two days, the post containing information about the delay of the planned conference collected nearly 537 thousand likes on Twitter. This makes it the most "liked" video game-related tweet in the history of the website.

The post beat the previous leader, Reggie Fils-Aimé's departure from Nintendo America by nearly 200,000 likes. Other things that were left in the dust include the special performance of the main theme from Animal Crossing: New Horizons straight from home, the presentation of PS5's DualSense controller (we've written about the success of this tweet here) and the announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (via ResetEra).

Despite the controversy, Sony's decision to postpone Thursday's conference gained a group of defenders.

So far, the new date of Sony's presentation has not been officially announced. As soon as the appropriate message appears, we will inform you about it.
