Dead Space Reviews - a Remake to Remember
The first reviews of the Dead Space remake have appeared online. What emerges from them is a game that lacks very little to the ideal - and on every platform.
There hasn't been such a remake yet - refreshed by Motive Studio, the new Dead Space, which has launched today on PC, PS5 and XSX/S, is getting great scores from industry critics. Suffice it to say that regardless of the platform, ratings of 9/10 prevail, and the averages calculated on their basis by Metacritic are 87 (PC), 89 (PS5) and 90 (XSX/S) points out of a possible 100.
"It's been a long time coming, but Dead Space is finally back... to reunite us," wrote Dylan Chaundy from Twinfinite, summarizing, as it were, the opinion of journalists in general. Which doesn't mean all of them. You can find sample ratings below.

As you may have already guessed, most of the texts praise literally everything - from audiovisuals and plot intensity to various minor changes in game mechanics or the addition of side quests. The elements that individual reviewers complain about are basically minor things. One time it's the visuals (because "it could have been even better"), at other times it's bugs or backtracking (which is, so to speak, an imprint of the original game), and in another case it's boring optional missions.
So if you intend to refresh your adventure with Isaac Clarke - or experience it for the first time - you have an ideal opportunity to do so. As a reminder, let me add that on PC Dead Space - like all games from Electronic Arts - will be available on launch day in the EA Play Pro subscription. If you intend to play on this platform, here you will check the system requirements.
